Green Acres

Farm living was just right for Farmers Liam and Hannah Clare. In early May, we began preparing a small plot of land behind our herb garden for a few vegetables. We decided to plant cantaloupe, bell peppers, eggplant and grape tomatoes. We were able to eat everything this year and learned a lot about what we need to do in future years. Very near the vegetable and herb garden, we have two transplanted day lilies from Mama's garden in Alabama. I'm sure she watches over our garden!

This is the best cantaloupe ever... juicy!

Our hard work paid off!

We made a caprese salad with our tomatoes & fresh basil from the herb garden.

You're a Grand Ole' Flag

It was a red, white and blue celebration at the Campbell house! We had a lazy day followed by a late dinner and fireworks on the Decatur (GA) square. Liam tried his hand at photography while we waited for the fireworks to begin. Turns out he's a great photographer!

Liam's 4th Birthday

It's hard to believe that four years ago our precious son was born. A week long celebration was in store for Prince Liam's 4th birthday. On Monday, we played in the yard all day and grilled out for Liam's big day. In the above video, the children were fresh out of the bath following our play in the back yard (hence the underwear only).

This past Saturday, Liam had a back yard bash with 20 friends for a "Dinosaur Dig" and splash in our dinosaur themed bounce house and water slide. The party company delivered it a day early since they were in our area and we used it 2 whole days. The children and I were worn out! I even have an injury on my elbow because of the speed you get going down the slide. Everyone enjoyed yummy slider burgers compliments of chef Bill and the cake of course had a blue dinosaur. Happy Birthday Liam!
