January Outings

We're fortunate in Atlanta to have so many venues to visit when it's cold outside! We visited the Children's Museum, The Fernbank, & the Georgia Aquarium to keep us occupied during January. The month ended with a fun lunch and playtime at Chuck E. Cheese with Liam's buddy Anderson. The last time we were there, Hannah was a baby. She caught on fast... sneaking handfuls of tokens or shaking her bum to the AWESOME 80's music. Bring on Debbie Gibson! Liam, Anderson and I even played some Air Hockey. What a blast. Check out the photos from January.

Nana & Pop Pop go to preschool

It was a mystery... reader that is. Liam's class has a mystery reader each week and guess who popped into class this week? That's right-- Nana "from the North" she calls her self, and Pop Pop. Liam was beaming and Pop Pop read two books and they got the chance to do their chant "Tooty Ta" by Dr. Jean Feldman. This is a very funny chant that builds children's sense of phonemic awareness and letter sounds by chanting the song with different initial sounds. There's also body movement that goes with it- Thumbs up, elbows out... Thumbs up, tongue out. Very cute to see Pop Pop getting in the groove. Thanks to Miss Liz & Miss Linda (pictured) for letting them visit!

Happy New Year!

New Year's Eve at the Wise house was lots of fun. The dads even put on a "fireworks" sparkler show. Very exciting! Cheers to an awesome 2009!!
