Halloween 2008

Well, this was the longest holiday ever! We started decorating for Halloween on October 1 and planned for weeks prior! On October 5, we went to the Pre-Boo at the Zoo Bash. We went as the Incredibles Family. Bill was a little bummed about going in spandex, but when we got a lot of compliments, he was feeling a little more cool.

The next party was on October 25... Zimmerween. Our street has a party each year and this year we closed off half of the street. There was a chili cook-off and the children watched the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown projected on a sheet. Liam was mesmerized!

Halloween night was a lot of fun too. Our good friends, the Wise family came over sans Amy and their new baby girl Isabel, but Anderson, his dad Drayton, his Grandfather Tom and uncle Thomas came over for dinner, drinks and a lot of laughs. The children were running, screaming, eating candy and having way too much fun!

Bill's 20th High School Reunion

The Clan went to New Jersey for Bill's big 20th reunion. Liam and Hannah Clare had fun terrorizing Nana and PopPop's house. On Saturday, we all went to Norz Hill Farm Fall Festival and had a blast. Aunt Kerry found out about this place and it was a find! We went on a hay ride to the barn area and saw the extensive herd of Dairy Cows.
They milk a little over 200 cows twice a day. We even got to see some babies that were anywere from 2 days to 3 weeks old. Very precious! Liam loved feeding them and Hannah Clare got into it as well. The funniest thing we saw was a Zonkey- part donkey/part zebra.

The reunion was a lot of fun too, but thanks to very late night, we had a rough flight back! It didn't help that Hannah was running fever. Those illnesses always come at the right time... Oh the memories!

Summer 2008

Well, we had a full summer and here we are in October. I'm not sure where the time went. In any event, we had a full summer with playdates, birthday parties and a trip to see Nana & PopPop at the beach. Bill and I also managed to get away by ourselves on a "honeymoon" to the Inn at Palmeto Bluff in South Carolina. It was very relaxing!

On the home front, Liam enjoyed digging in the dirt and even helped grow a raspberry plant. We quickly found out that the birds were pleased with the fruits of our labor, so we'll be more prepared next year!
Until summer 2009, we'll dream of those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer! Could't we just always be on holiday?
